Founder and Owner
Dr. Bryant C. Silbaugh is a licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). He received his Ph.D. in Special Education and Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin. His interests in behavior analysis and autism can be traced to his first undergraduate experience assisting pivotal response training research in Dr. Laura Schreibman’s Infant Autism Lab in 2004. He has worked for over a decade in applied behavior analysis research and practice serving children with autism and their families and training new practitioners in home, school, and laboratory settings. He served as an Assistant Professor of Special Education and the Interim Director of the Autism Research Center at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and subsequently the Director of Research and Development for a clinic-based applied behavior analysis service provider, where he developed a specialized intensive feeding therapy program. He has co-authored over 20 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, and given numerous talks at scientific conferences, many of which have focused on the assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders in children with autism. His current research interests include reinforcement of operant variability, behavioral assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders, metacontingencies, and applied behavior analysis service delivery quality. He is currently the founder and owner of Trendline ABA in San Antonio, Texas, where he lives with his wife Dorothy, and two boys Owen and Miles. In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking, fishing, playing trading card games with his boys, and pretending to know how to play the electric guitar.
